II. Testing Requirements
As a part of the admissions process, Central Academy requires standardized testing in two areas for all new students. Part one captures the student’s academic gift. The Academy uses a standardized achievement test for this part of the assessment. If a student has taken the same standardized test within the last 6 months, a copy of the test scores may be obtained from the previous school and is accepted for this portion of the admissions assessment. Part two captures the student’s social skills. The social skills test involves 3 perspectives; the student, the parent and a recent teacher.
III. Interview with Respective School Administration
Once the application packet is complete and the testing requirements have been met, the family is contacted and an interview is scheduled. Parents and the student(s) must be present at the interview. The interview consists of reviewing of the completed application materials and admissions testing results, familiarizing parents with school policies, explaining the details of the respective grade-level curriculum and discussing academic and spiritual standards which must be met for acceptance.
IV. Admissions Committee
After the interview process, all information is reviewed and prayerfully considered by the Admissions Committee. An admissions decision is communicated to the parents by letter.
