Fine Arts
Art Program
The goal of the Academy’s K-12 art program is to develop students’ artistic abilities from an early age and teach them to incorporate art skills in daily life. A large art room and professional supplies enable students to work with different media to create unique works of art. Our students are instructed in a wide variety of art such as drawing, painting, block printing, collage, paper mache, pottery, sculpting and weaving. Art teacher, Mila Antonyuk comments, “In my 30 years of teaching art, I’ve never seen a school with so many gifted art students. My goal is to develop their God-given talents to bring beauty and joy in our world through art.”
Music Program
Worship is a lifestyle, not just a song. Music classes at Central Academy are designed for students to experience the joy of worshiping God through singing, playing instruments, and learning more about musical concepts. Music instructor, Jerry Kemper, teaches each elementary grade level with an interactive curriculum, exploring music and deepening students’ knowledge. Music is an important way that we express our love for Christ and we want to instill a love for music within each student. We also offer choir, concert band, and praise & worship band to our students depending on the grade and ability levels. Private lessons are offered during after school hours.
“The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing.”
– Zephaniah 3:17
